Is there a real difference between a expensive HDMI cable vs a cheap one?

I need to buy an HDMI cable and I was wondering if there was a REAL difference between an expensive one and a cheap one. I only need it to be one meter long going from my PS3 to a 32 Inch Lcd. 720p.

There are differences in all cables including digital cables, but the key is if your system is setup & calibrated well for you to hear or see the differences. As for HDMI cables there are differences but price does not guarantee you a better cable. In most cases the average consumer will not see much of a difference and should not spend a significant amount on HDMI cables, I would suggest spending the money to have your TV professionally ISF calibrated by a certified ISF technician as this will give you a much bigger improvement in picture quality. If you do have a above average system then absolutely invest in better HDMI cables. Do not buy from the local chain stores as they do not carry cables that will give you a significant improvement in picture but rather go to your local hi-end Audio Video store as they are much more knowledgeable and carry the better brands of audio and video cables. Most independent hi-end stores will even allow you to addition these cables before making a final purchase. You can also read reviews preferably from the better magazines like Perfect Vison, Stereophile, and Widescreen review.
